Babysitter Gets Baby Drunk – Story at Eleven

On Wednesday I went to my sister’s house to babysit Stella for a couple of hours.  Stella is the easiest baby I’ve ever met—full of smiles and giggles and hugs.  She’s also totally content to play by herself, taking balls out of a box and then putting them back in is one of her current favorites.

This time she was so pleased to be playing by herself that I ended up just getting a book off the bookshelf and reading while Stella pushed the baby stroller around, babbling to herself.  It was only after a few minutes of silence that I looked up and saw that she had parked herself again the wall and the television and was slowly sinking down to a more “reclined” pose.

It was so weird and funny that I just left her there for a few minutes, seeing what she would do.  After 20 minutes, I had to get the video camera.

That is one lazy baby—the exact opposite of my experience babysitting her older sister, who managed to wreak havoc on par with a Category IV hurricane in the space of a quick bathroom break.
